Been working flat out for 6 weeks on my first musical CULT! For the 'From Page to Stage' new MT competition.
Today is SUBMISSION DEADLINE!
Highlights include me putting a vocoder on my voice to make up the male members of the cast.... 🙈👽👍🏻
Bacharach, David, Warwick. L.O.V.E
Should be working, but actually just listening to this.
The gorgeous McOnie Company (including my very own better genetic half Carrie Taylor Johnson) rehearsing for the big night.. #jonnyollivier #legend
Carrie Taylor Johnson
GENE KELLY is in the track!
Spent January writing an anthem as a tribute to Jonny Ollivier.
The Track was danced to beautifully by the McOnie Company at MR WONDERFUL, a concert hosted by Matthew Bourne at Sadlers Wells to raise money for his two beautiful boys.
Forever in our Hearts. x
More work on the vocals for the new EP last week, really stressful times in the studio ; )
Thanks to @jackhawitt and @rodrigoroura for another fun session. ❤️❤️
Spent last night in our little vocal cave with Jack finishing 'carnival generation', poptastic times in the early hours. We've now finished two tracks together as RobotCoffee, it's been ridiculous fun so far.
A bit of time off with the family in Yorkshire, my heart and tummy are full to the brim.
Had a grand old time with the band in Guildford this week recording some new songs. Can't wait to get the edits back. Thanks to Emma Towers for another great day. Got some footage of us all having a jam which I'll be posting to all me socials soon. x
Saw them play at Village Underground last Thursday and was blown away. Seb Rochford is a drummerboy genius!
Leafcutterjohn as support was also fantastic - music controlled by light. Sorcery for ears and eyes.
Defos worth a watch. 🎶
Wrote and recorded this ditty through friday night for a brief I received at short notice. Uber cheesy (PURE STILTON) but so much fun to make. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz now
Yesterday setting up online #RobotCoffee headquarters for a new musical venture with Jack Hawitt. We've been co-writing and producing some pop music which we'll release shortly.
Been a busy girl so far- iPhone at the ready of course! Saw the end of 2014 in Guildford on a moody sunday recording some songs for Emma Towers with bassist Phil Cornwell. Flew back to Oslo for work which had me recently hanging out in a gorgeous little studio in the middle of a scandinavian forest off the Fjords, not too shabby for the day job!
Otherwise I've realised the best way to brave Norwegian winter is with #Jack Hawitt writing, arranging and occasionally sipping red wine.
Looking forward to a busy year, working on some uber cool projects and fingers crossed another release soon (probably a new hair colour too).
Great times had performing at The Bedford last week with these two #jazzcriminals.
